The Distance Between Us — two places, one line, and the kilometres

Choose two places: the city your mother lives in and the one you live in, where you studied and where you are from, or a couple split across two continents. The poster joins them with a single line and prints the distance between them, large, underneath. We draw the map for you: the globe is turned so that it is seen from exactly halfway between your two places. That way the shortest route between you appears as a straight line across the face of the earth. For two cities in one country there is a close view, and for anyone who wants the whole world, a flat world map. The poster carries your title, the distance as the crow flies in kilometres, both places' names and their coordinates. You can add a name above each place (Mum, Ayşe, Us), a date beneath, and a one-sentence note. The places and coastlines come from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain. Three sizes (30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 cm) and ten palettes, on matte poster stock, foam board or heavy card.

The drawing is the designer's; the colour and the logo are yours. What you see above is what we print.
