Your Sign’s Constellation — its real stars, with your name

Your sign’s constellation from a birthday: Aldebaran and the Hyades for Taurus, Antares and its tail for Scorpio, every star in its true place and brightness. The figure’s lines, the names of its two or three best-known stars, the sign’s symbol, and beneath it the name and date you write. For a birthday, a nursery or a new home. You enter the date; we find the sign — not from a table of dates but from where the Sun stood in the sky that day, so cusp days come out right too. If you count yourself another sign you can choose it yourself; the date is still printed. Any day from 1800 to 2050. The stars are not invented: every star the naked eye can see (to magnitude 6.5) from the Yale Bright Star Catalog — bright ones large, faint ones small, in six steps. The sky is drawn as you see it looking up: north at the top, east on the left. Each star name sits beside its star, clear of the lines. Ten palettes; the symbol and the star names are optional. Three sizes (30 × 40, 50 × 70, 70 × 100 cm), on matte poster stock, foam board or heavy card. The sky is the same on every size; the sheet’s proportions differ a little, so a few stars at the edges come and go. The poster in the preview, at the size you choose, is exactly the one printed.

The drawing is the designer's; the colour and the logo are yours. What you see above is what we print.
