JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB each, short side at least 300 pixels. Every tile is cropped square.

What goes underneath?

Optional: a title and a line in the band under the mosaic. The "Full" layout prints no words.

How many tiles, how strongly the big picture shows, the layout and the paper colour.

How many tiles across?

Fewer tiles: every photo larger. More tiles: a sharper big picture. We print no tile smaller than 8 mm; on 30 × 40 only the 30-across grid is offered.

How strongly should the big picture show?

Pure mosaic 0% Balanced 25% Strong 50%

Each tile is washed lightly with its cell's colour. 0% is the honest mosaic; 50% makes the big picture easy to read and shifts the tiles' colours a little.

Layout

Full The mosaic fills the sheet to the safe margin; no words. With a band A band under the mosaic for a title and a line. Framed A hairline frame with the mosaic and the band inside it.

Paper and lettering colour

The colour applies to the paper, the frame and the words only; the mosaic is the colour of your photos.

Material

Matte Poster Paper 200 gsm matte coated stock. No glare — the most natural choice behind glass. Foam Board Mounted onto 5 mm PVC board. Needs no frame — it hangs as it is. Heavy Card 350 gsm rigid card. Thicker than a poster, thinner than board.
